OnTrackNorthAmerica has launched a bold and expansive set of initiatives that are designed to accelerate rail’s impact in the emergence of a balanced and intelligent transportation system across North America. Our efforts at expanding the role of public-private sector collaboration by developing a whole new method and platform signal our commitment to bringing breakthrough ideas to the table. There are six specific areas in which we’re seeking sponsors:

OnTrackNorthAmerica has developed a set of specific initiatives that relate to vital issues that when combined represent a movement toward transforming rail freight efficiency. Further, tout initiatives are aimed at generating a new level action orientation and public accountability resulting from transportation planning and development process. OTNA has developed a true innovation in convening stakeholders to produce specific, measurable outcomes. Our IntelliConferences are processes that combine synchronous meetings, both in-person and online, with follow-up activities that ensure that participants deliver what they commit to. We envision a series of these events that will address specific topics based on our initiatives, and the end result will be a community of committed people and organizations that will produce outcomes that contribute to achieving OTNA’s ultimate goals.

One of OTNA’s key methods is to convene online Dialogues that are guided and facilitated by experts in both the subject matter and in leading dialogues. These online dialogues will result in development of communities of practice that will spur further projects and initiatives. OTNA has developed a number of research initiatives designed to provide us with an evidence-based approach to support the intellectual foundations of our existing efforts as well as to conduct the primary research necessary to support the development of new initiatives. We have already built partnerships with a number of recognized research institutions and are positioned to partner with industry led research consortia and the innovation leadership from both commercial and public policy concerns. Supporting OTNA’s research needs will put experienced researchers to work in service of providing the factual underpinning for our ambitious program of initiatives.
